The city of Saint-Germain-en-Laye in France has concluded a concession with the company Madaforage to design and carry out the drilling of the Albien, the work of which should start in March 2020.
The new borehole to be operational in June 2001 will see the light of the day near the biomass boiler. It should make it possible to reach the Albian aquifer present throughout the Paris basin. Located 800 meters underground, the water it contains, considered to be in better quality, reaches a temperature of 28°C. Heat that will be recovered and injected into the city’s district heating network.
